dc.description.abstract

This research aims to gain fundamental insights into the liquid heating and boiling phenomena under Microwave (MW) and Ultrasound irradiation (MW) via computational multiphysics simulation. To this end, four new computational models are developed and validated experimentally. These models are used to investigate the aforementioned phenomena. The interactions between MW, US and fluid flow during heating, as well as liquid boiling and superheating effect by MW are studied and analyzed in detail.
