    Abstract

This PhD study investigates waste tyre pyrolysis mechanisms and product formations. It develops a novel method for isoprene capture and quantification, enhancing accuracy in determining oil yield. The effect of reactors on pyrolysis product formation is investigated, followed by the formation of primary volatiles during waste tyre pyrolysis. Subsequently, natural and synthetic rubber pyrolysis was performed to comprehend product formation mechanism. Overall, this study provides new insights into the primary pyrolysis mechanism of waste tyre.
