This PhD body of research aimed to provide further evidence to determine, in adults with CF: (i) the current evidence for effects of airway clearance techniques (ACTs) used; (ii) the responsiveness of novel outcome measures to evaluate the effects of ACTs; (iii) the effects of a new ACT, the MetaNeb®; and (iv) individuals’ lived experiences before and after Trikafta® initiation, specifically regarding their respiratory-related symptoms, airway clearance routines and capacity to participate in physical activity.
