    Abstract

This thesis explores the resistance of doctors to Health Information Systems (HIS) in Australia. It identifies key factors contributing to this resistance, such as satisfaction with the status quo, personal innovativeness with technology, and perceived threats to work practices. Using a mixed-methods approach, the study provides insights into the impact of resistance on healthcare delivery and offers strategies to enhance HIS adoption, ultimately aiming to improve healthcare outcomes and efficiency.
