dc.description.abstract

This thesis conducts investigations on the development of time-frequency analysis approaches for vibration-based system identification considering uncertainties, including applications to operational modal identification, nonlinear model updating and damage detection of civil engineering structures under operational conditions. The research work presented and the results obtained in this thesis contribute to the development of robust and reliable vibration-based system identification and nonlinear model updating techniques with applications to the real-world civil engineering structures.
